Tangled Emotions

These drawings explore the intricate emotional dynamics between a man and a woman. The woman is portrayed as both a source of inspiration and a driving force an extension of the man’s own being, supporting and uplifting him toward his purpose. At the same time, the works reflect the tension that can arise when one person loves more deeply, desiring control and constant closeness. The pieces speak to both the beauty and the challenges of emotional interdependence in intimate relationships.

Deep

This series explores quiet moments beneath the surface — a symbolic underwater world where emotions, instincts, and freedom gently unfold. The girl, surrounded by drifting fish and soft currents, appears immersed in thought. Her calm presence reflects introspection and emotional depth, suggesting a mind navigating the subtle currents of inner feeling. The dreaming cat gazes into the distance, suspended in the stillness of water. A creature of intuition and independence, it embodies curiosity and quiet contemplation — as if wandering through a dream where imagination and reality softly merge. Nearby, a jellyfish drifts effortlessly through the currents. Weightless and free, it moves with the rhythm of the ocean, symbolizing surrender, flow, and the beauty of letting go. Together, these figures inhabit a serene underwater space — a metaphorical realm where thought, instinct, and freedom coexist in silent harmony.

Passing Light

This series reflects on fleeting moments the quiet beauty of childhood, memory, and the passage of time. Figures appear suspended between light and shadow, often accompanied by birds that move freely through the sky, symbolizing freedom, transition, and the gentle flow of life. A girl on a swing watching the sunset, birds crossing the fading light, a figure wrapped in a veil each work captures a moment of stillness where time seems to pause. These images speak of fragile memories, of growing up, and of the subtle realisation that every season of life eventually drifts away. Through soft light and atmospheric space, the series invites the viewer to reflect on the passing nature of time and the quiet emotions that remain.

African Animals

In my series of graphic works titled “Portraits of African Animals,” I aim to capture the emotions and inner essence of these creatures through their static, portrait-like poses. The lion, proud and strong, gazes into the distance with a quiet intensity. The silverback gorilla, intelligent and powerful, reveals a deep sadness in its eyes—emotions that even the strongest creatures struggle to hide. The elephant, immense and heavy, conceals wisdom and kindness beneath its tough, weathered skin. All of these animals share a common adversary—humans—who at any moment could take away their lives or freedom.
